Pepes Tongkol Suwir Basil
Material:
1 fresh tuna fish
1/2 bunch of basil leaves (take the leaves)
2 green tomatoes (cut)
1 egg
3 lbr leaves (cut into 3 pieces each)
7 whole cayenne pepper
to taste banana leaves
to taste Salt, sugar, powdered broth
👉 Finer Seasonings:
15 curly red chilli
8 cloves of red onion
5 cloves of garlic
Slightly small turmeric
3 candlenuts
Step
Rinse fish, spices and basil leaves. Blend marinade with a blender or diuleg. Then steam for a moment the tuna fish, suwir-suwir rather large.
Combine tuna cob with spice, basil, tomatoes and eggs. Add salt, powdered broth and granulated sugar. Mix well. Taste test.
Wrap pepes with banana leaves. Give roughly 2 spoons per pack or adjust to the seption. Add 1 whole chili and 1 bay leaf each packet.
Steam for about 30 minutes. Turn off the fire. Serve with warm rice. Yummy 😋
Can also after steamed baked again above teflon to reduce water content and certainly more sedapp. 😋 Happy cooking!
