El camino fue rocoso. Saliendo de la ventana del automóvil, pasando velozmente junto a los pinos, apenas aferrándose al borde de un camino de tierra degradante, se sintió libre. Sentada en el borde de su asiento, sacó su mano por la ventana y jugó con el viento azotando sus dedos. Arriba y abajo arriba y abajo su mano se fue. A medida que el camino se hacía más duro, se apretaba el cinturón de seguridad, el último vestíbulo de seguridad en una serie de eventos en espiral. Ella se acomodó como si esperara el beso que nunca llegó, ese abrazo que nunca sucedió.
