If you're wondering why you're not getting any upvotes on your posts, you've come to the right place!
Today we're going to look at the 3 biggest mistakes that are preventing you from getting those tasty upvotes. And we're not talking about paying for upvotes but note that we do cover paid promotion in this post.
Let's jump right into it!
3. Your content isn't good enough.
While this may sound a bit harsh, remember upvotes come from other steemit users like me and you. Always ask yourself if you would upvote that post if it was from someone else. If the answer is no, then the quality or originality of your content could be what's holding you back from getting upvoted.
2. No one is seeing your posts
The great thing about this one is that you can do something about it! There is a million reasons why your posts can get lost into oblivion. Being a new creator with close to no followers can be a hard place to start and we've all been there.
Encourage Interaction
Having an active comment feed on your post will ensure it stays high in the HOT tab. So make sure you encourage your followers to leave comments on your posts.
Get resteemed!
Getting your post resteemed is a truly wonderful thing. It will likely expose your content to a lot of potential new followers and catch some upvotes in the process!
Paid promotion
Paid promotion is a great way to make sure your target audience sees your content. On steem, the most popular method for promoting posts is the use of bid based voting bots. The way it works is you send an amount in SBD to a bot and get and upvote in return, which boosts your post on the TRENDING and HOT pages.

1. You're Not Networking
Networking can play a big part in boosting your growth. Regularly interacting with your target demographic can go a long way in making sure they recognize your name when they see it! People are a lot more likely to click on content from people they recognize than from a complete stranger.
There are plenty of ways in which you can start networking today. The easiest place to start is to join a community with potential followers and fellow creators. There are a few discord servers where creators can collaborate and exchange ideas.
My personal favorite is the DUnite Discord ;)
I hope you learned something :)
