Visit to Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid Railline Expansion Project

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has visited the railway expansion project from Chapainawabganj Railway Station to Sonamasjid Land Port, Chief Executive Engineer of Bangladesh Railway, Rajshahi, Ramzan Ali visited Rajshahi. Members of the local Awami League leaders and railway officials, including members of the parliament, Abdul Wadud, municipal mayor Mohammad Nazrul Islam, panel mayor-1 Mohammad Saidur Rahman, municipal executive engineer Md Sadikul Islam, district council member Alhaj Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Chapainawabganj railway station manager Monirul Islam, were present.
Ramzan Ali, chief executive engineer of the railway west of Rajshahi, met briefly at Chapainawabganj Railway Station after inspecting the project on Friday morning.
In the exchange meeting, he said that the connectivity of the old railway station through Sonnasamjid line through Mahananda river will be the best in the city and the distance of the Mahananda river from the old railway station is very less. The chief engineer also said that all the documents have been prepared for the construction of the railway line from Chapai-Sonamasjid, to the tender. The work of Chapai-Sonamasjid, Panchagarh to Bangalabandha and Doma from Bhatimari Samira was started at 9.91 lakh 83 thousand rupees. Work will start by completing the work on 30 June 2019. The chief engineer also said that the construction of a new platform, railway staff's residential restroom and additional railway lines would also be set up. Member of Parliament Abdul Wadud said that, through the initiative of the Prime Minister, the construction of the railway line from Chapainawabganj to Sonamasjid land port will be played by the local economy and Chapainawabganj will play an important role in the development of the local economy through the Swastidu Mango marketing rail link in Chapainawabganj district, according to the report, the chief engineer of the railway said Chapainawabganj inspection is positive and the mile blade for Chapainawabganj.
