Well this promised to be an interesting week for the gambling dapps! MagicDice was close to 40% distribution of the Magic tokens, EpicDice and Kryptogamers are preparing their divs pay-out and Steem-bet finally understood that something was needed to increase the volume!

Let's run over the dapps!

MagicDice

First let's start with the godfather of all Gambling dapps on the steem blockchain, @magicdice.
There is no doubt that it has the best user experience and technical knowledge. They do have the unique feature of betting over and under, but but but. There is always a but!
At the moment they already have distributed 251K in dividends and 40.4% of their Magic tokens. But the problem is that the tokens distribution has halved 2 days ago. In stead of getting 25 Magic for a 1 steem wager, you will only receive 12.5 Magic. This will of course have an impact on the volume.
The gamblers will stays, the miners will decrease.
Magicdice already has lost 40% of the SP delegation towards them. And one thing I learned in the past few weeks is that SP delegation is important for a dice game! Why you ask? Well the answer is simple for each roll they have to make a transfer with the result of the bet. Each transfer does cost resource credits! Luckily for them they do have enough own SP gathered so they shouldn't run into a problem.

Another question is if they will expand the games they are offering! Will they do this or not. I do think that they will have to do this, otherwise they risk going out of business.

I will probably take another shot this week for their daily leaderboard, because with the decreased volume and the juicy prize pool it is worth a shot. After next week I will only use MD for fun.

So what will be the next gambling dapps the miners will use?

EpicDice

It was a race between @epicdice and @kryptogames who would pay out the dividends first. Well Epicdice won the race, but probably they are not so happy with this at the moment.
The first divs payout went well. Everybody was happy and more people started to bet. At the moment Epicdice still grants you 100 EPIC for a 1 steem wager. They did explain that the distribution of EPIC tokens would only take place every 5 minutes. But they didn't test this feature well.
After the first distribution the distribution got stuck in a loop. Paying the same amount of tokens over and over again to the same players. So now, they are forced to introduce a new token, which could happen in the weekend. They do promise that the current divs do accumulate, so I do expect just a wait in payout but that I will receive my divs.
The first payout was a juicy one for me with 5.2 Steem. For me this is immense!
I do hope that they can set things straight, because I really like the team and the dapp!

Also here I will take a shot at the weekly leaderboard to earn some extra steem. The goals is to reach 2M Epic. 75% of this goal has been completed.

Krytpogames

Out of the blue they did announce that the video poker was live! Great jobs guys, really appreciate the work you are doing. The maybe lost the race for the divs but they won the token distribution! The tech they do have for this is superior to the one of EpicDice. It work flawlessly from the start.They do accumulate the tokens you need to get on a daily basis and add them to your account once a day!

It is now the only gambling dapp offering multiple games! With the Dice Game, the Blackjack and now the video poker is really starts to look like an online Casino.
According to me, they should earn much more traffic! Just like EpicDice, they do have a great team, which does answer quickly on the questions asked via the steem blog or via discord!
I should mine here more than on the other sides. My aim here is to reach 2M of their tokens. But that will take some time. At the moment I am half way!

Steem-bet

@steem-bet, the only dapp with 2 different house tokens. SBT can be earned via playing, SPT can be earned via investing into the dapp. This can be more or less seen as a sort of ICO round. They will use the gathered steem to introduce new games. It is also the only DAPP with a whitepaper and the things that interests me the most is the sportsbook which is on their roadmap. I will try to convince them to move this forward on the roadmap.

We are all waiting on the release of the roulette game they did promise, but they ran into some bugs which have to be fixed first! They did learn their lesson and understand that it is better to postpone a release than to release a faulty version!

They also understood that they should give the gamblers and miners some more incentive to play. So they did enter a sweepstake. With this sweetstake you can win 1000 SPT per day.
For each 10 steem wagered you will get a raffle ticket and 5 tickets will win 1000 SPT. I do hope that this could increase the traffic a little bit. 1000 SPT has a value of 20 steem.

Also the pre-sale of the SPT token will be opened tomorrow. There is a 30% bonus. So instead of 50 SPT per steem invested you will get 65 SPT. I am planning to do another small investment. Depending on the liquid steem I do have availbale when the round opens. The first SPT div payout did give me around 27 steem, which is a good start!
