Saludos a todos comunidad steemit reciban una cordial bienvenida a mi nuevo post @fusionnuclear. *****************

Nombre científico: Pompilidae esta es una avispa cazadora. Es de tipo solitaria, es decir, que no vive en colonia como muchos otros tipos de avispas.

Tambien es conocida como avispas de las arañas. Se les da este nombre por que cazan arañas para alimentar a sus larvas.

He tenido la oportunidad de ver a esta avispa en acción, observe como se lanzó sobre una araña y enseguida le clavó el aguijón para paralizarla , luego la tomo con su boca y comenzó a arrastrarla hasta un agujero en la tierra. Según he leído la avispa no mata la araña sólo la paraliza para luego depositar sus huevos en esta. Así es como sus larvas se alimentan de la araña.
