99th anniversary of the Czechoslovakia foundation; 99. výročí vzniku ČSR

Hello Steemers

The Czechoslovak republic was founded on 28th of October 1918. Before that day we were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In many cities of the Czech Republic are held memorial events. In Brno it was wreath laying ceremony in front of the Masaryk's statue (the 1st Czechoslovak president) . The event accompanied the brass army orchestra from Olomouc.

Ahoj Steemiťáci

i v Brně se dnes konaly vzpomínkové akce ke vzniku Československa. Tradiční je ceremoniál kladení věnců k Masarykově soše před původní budovou Lékařské fakulty Masarykovy univerzity. Mezi mnohými, kdo se přišel Masarykovi uklonit s pugétem karafiátů byl i zástupce komunistů. Světe div se, nebyl zfackovaný ani od hanby, ani od nikoho jiného (není to onen muž na fotce).

Hudební doprovod obstarala dechová Vojenská hudba Olomouc.

My roommate @zoebean1 has some Czech in her DNA (: And I also absolutely loved my stay in Prague! It is good that you celebrate your independence from the AHE! No country deserves to be conquered by another, we all deserve the same freedom and autonomy as the next! Good post, I am going to follow you (:
