Apple will cut off iPhone X production

According to analyst known by KGI, Ming-Chi Kuo, the Applet iPhone X is not the best selling phone as the company expected.

Apple plans to sell around 18 million iPhones for the first quarter of 2018. This falls to be much less than the initial forecast by some analysts. They have predicted sales of this advanced phone to reach 20 to 30 million.

For the second quarter of 2018, Ming-Chi Kuo expects Apple to sell around 13 million iPhones X. He believes the reason for this poor performance of the market may be China's longest replacement cycle, reports the Phone Arena . It seems that Apple may have not really hit the contested Chinese market. Quo's analyst's expectations come in sharp contrast to the latest data from Kantar Worldpanel, showing that the iPhone X was the best-selling device in China.

The design of the iPhone X is said to be the next possible reason for its poor performance sales: the bottom of the phone is said to have 'tired' local consumers because they consider it as lost space.

China's endless love for affordable Android devices is mentioned as another possible reason for iPhone X's failure to dominate the market.

All this has convinced Ming-Chi Kuon that Apple will cut off iPhone X's production this summer and focus only on the upcoming series of iPhones.

Since launching, there have been many articles and positive reports about the iPhone X. But, it seems that Apple's most advanced model can be removed from service due to some problems.

According to a new report provided by AppleInsider, the analyst at KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, said the sales of the iPhone X were disappointing and that its production will be discontinued in the summer.

The latest - and only - model of Apple that was canceled was the iPhone 5C in 2014.

Apple has been criticized for the high price of the iPhone X, which starts at $ 999 for the most basic model. Kuo has discovered Apple plans in the past and said "China's lack of interest in this model" is the main reason for its cancellation.

One of the features of the handset is facial recognition technology, which enables the user to open the handset just by scanning the face, instead of fingerprints.

This feature, however, was captured by multiple criticism following a case where a father said his son had managed to pass the Face ID.

The same problem was reported in China just after a week. A woman there understood she could open her X's cellphone using facial recognition. It is thought that the iPhone X is not able to distinguish the Chinese from each other, but this is denied by Apple, saying their technology is quite accurate.

Rumors are just that, rumor, but time will tell what happens with sales and production of the X.
