The strategy used in the preflop is one of the most important ones because making an erroneous decision to play a hand can compromise your chances and your position at the table. Essential in poker is also your position towards the dealer. The number of hands to play from early position is very limited. So a big raise in early position makes it clear that you have a strong hand and the chances of being paid are very low, especially from late position.
The option to play a hand in the early position is different than the middle or late position. It is recommended to get into the early position only if you have strong hands to pay for a possible raise. In the late position things are different, the decision to play or not to play by several factors, as follows:
-The number of players in the hand
-The existence or not of a raise (or reraise) from an early or middle position
-type of play (losers or tight)
-the number of chips owned
-the book value
The more players get in your hand, the better your chances of winning, even if you have a good hand is considerably diminishing. Here are the chances you will have with a pair of hand in hand at a table with 10 players in preflop:
-with 3 players in the hand, odds are 70%
-with 6 players the odds are 50%
-8 chances fall below 20%
When a player gets early or middle position betting a lot, it is very likely that he holds a very strong hand, your chances of winning are very small. You have to take advantage of the type of opponents' game and know how to manipulate them. I will need this patience and a lot of tact.
Another factor that will determine whether or not to get into a hand is the number of chips you own. In the context of having many chips, you can let go into more hands, at least to see the flop, or even play aggressively (even bluffing)
Losing a strong hand (AA, KK, AK) is due to the way you played it. For example, if you play all-in preflop with such a hand, and you lose to the river, then bad luck is the one who has Put your footprint. A good hand is not playing all for two reasons:
-that there is the possibility that you will not receive any calls and then the winnings in this hand are small
It would be like, although you have a good hand, you could lose on the river.
The most important thing is the decision of a player to win or not a hand since the preflop. Once the flop has been seen, each player realizes if he has made a strong hand if he did not achieve anything but wait for a book or did not accomplish anything again the flop is totally out of favor.
If you have a flush draw on the flop most likely would be a raise, hoping to achieve the desired hand or to force opponents to retire. If you do not get the desired hand on the river, you do not have to give the impression that you lost your hand but instead bet more than you did when you handed it (a situation where many would fold or check, which is unfavorable) making opponents realize that they have a failed hand that no longer deserves paid and on the river.
If you have a straight draw, the hand draw from the flop to the river is 17%, decreasing on the turn if it is not realized. With an open straight draw, the opportunity is doubled, and depending on the amount of the required amount, choose to go or not.
Betting is very important in Texas to hold'em. When you bet, it does not necessarily mean you own a good card. So bettors can have a good hand or not, which you can also figure out based on the bet amount. Do not bet too much when you have a strong hand because there are minimum chances to receive a call and so chances of winning a big amount are infima.Try to bet the right amount to keep your opponents in the game.
When you do not have a good hand, you have two possibilities to play: either retire and consider your lost hand, go to bluff, hoping to get the others out of the game, giving the impression of a strong hand.
Taking into account the above, and practicing a good game, the results will not be delayed. Success! Ionut Ciobanu
