The Israeli military noted that the Iranian forces shelled the advanced positions of the Israeli forces on the Golan Heights with rockets such as Grad and Fajr-5.

At the same time, several anti-aircraft missile systems were attacked. According to the army spokesman, the SAM anti-aircraft gunners did not comply with the requirement not to interfere with the operation, and in response to fire from the ground, the Air Force of Israel was hit by several complexes of the type SA-5, SA-2, SA-22 and SA-17.

The Israeli army command stressed that all planes that participated in one of the largest operations in recent years have successfully returned to their bases, and the missile attack that provoked it also cost Israel without losses. None of the missiles released at night fell into Israeli-controlled territory, the ministry said.

The spokesman for the armed forces, Jonathan Konricus, issued a statement that the Israeli side informed the Russian Federation before the air strikes against Syria.

The army noted that Israel is not interested in further aggravation of the conflict with Iran, and called on Tehran to abandon new attacks.
