Lhokseumawe Police Station held a late 2017 release at the local police headquarters on Saturday, December 30, 2017. The year-end report is about the increase or decrease in the performance of the police station and its staff.

"The crimes we have handled so far have declined compared to the previous year.For 2016 there are 1,287 cases, and 2017 1,041 cases, meaning the crime rate decreased by about 19.11 percent," said Lhokseumawe Police Chief AKBP Hendri Budiman, Saturday 30 December 2017 .
Hendri Budiman explained, that the settlement of the case in 2017 increased 630 cases, which means increased 68 cases. While 2016 in the settlement of 562 cases, but in the case there are several events that stand out. Among them there are several cases of murder or possession of firearms (senpi) belonging to the suspect.
"However, regarding the possession of firearms is still in the process there are 2 (cases), but three more cases we have delegated to the Kejaksaan Negeri (Kejari) Lhokseumawe," said Hendri Budiman.
He added that in 2017 firearms are successfully secured as many as 5 (five) shoots. But one of them has been handed over to the Prosecutor's Office, and four others are still in process at Polres Lhokseumawe.
In addition, there are several other cases that increased, one of which is online gambling using cross-country account book (abroad), the case Lhokseumawe Police also cooperate with the Aceh Police in handling it.
Hendri Budiman continued, also handled cases of prostitution that provides the location in the area Cunda, District Muara Dua, Lhokseumawe. Then the case of LPG gas 3 Kg subsidized for the community but misused, there are 2 (two) cases handled. There are also other cases such as rape to murder, robbery and other similar criminal cases.
"For the settlement of corruption cases is Rp 14.5 billion of livestock aid which is sourced from APBK 2014 fund with total loss of state reached Rp.8,1 billion," said.
