Tall Tower at Crosby Landing

Last week I took a mini-vacation to Cape Cod with my family (@michaeljagoe, @sjagoe, @robjagoe, @bryanjagoe & @cjagoe). Yes, I made them all get STEEM accounts. It was a fun week full of seafood, salt water and sunshine.

On the day we arrived, we decided to visit a beach on the Cape Cod Bay called Crosby Landing in Brewster, Massachusetts. The bay-side beaches in Brewster have some of the largest tidal sandbars in North America. At low tide, over a full mile of sandbars are revealed. As we walked out onto the sandbar we immediately noticed a man building an abnormally tall sand castle. We took a walk over to see what it was all about.

The artist's name is Brian Convery, but he goes by 'SandyWork60'. He spends his afternoons on various beaches throughout the Cape building extravagant, one-of-a-kind, sand-art masterpieces.

Here are some pictures of SandyWork60's ' Tall Tower at Crosby Landing'. It reminded me of the tower from the famous children's story 'Rapunzel'. As you can see in the background of the photos, the sandbars stretch out into the distance. Eventually with time, the tide will come back and wipe away the tower.

When I asked Convery if he gets upset when the tide comes and destroys his work, he responded: "No way! That's how I get a clean palate!"
