If freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose, then the slaves must have been really free.

Running for not president means that someone is running for president and if he becomes one he's gonna leave you alone. Abolish the government so to speak. You are talking about Adam Kokesh I suspect.

Kokesh is planning to set up his own "not-government." Yes, it is a joke, and he's also somewhat abusive of the platform here. In short, he's a politician, even if he means well somewhere inside. Sadly, he's being funded via delegated Steem for a big player here.

I feel your question is rhetorical in that there is no good answer to this. It is a silly concept.

To me it means that someone has considered running and has support and publicity like our current villain at facebook. Essentially they are testing the waters to see if it is right for them, but most importantly if a party will scoop them up and there is dough to pay for it. Oprah did this too, but backed out.

We live in the strangest time yet!

running for not president means the one who capable of that post but still not going for it . ex- orphan Winfrey still not trying for the president . this is what I know :).
