This time I will introduce some places to visit in Seoul, the capital city of Korea.

There are many places to visit in Seoul. The place to introduce this is Myeongdong.

Myeong-dong is a place in the center of Seoul from ancient times and it is a place where there are various cultures.

• The present Myeongdong is a space reminiscent of a huge shopping city. Generally, Myeongdong Street is about 1km distance from Myeongdong Station on Subway Line 4 to Euljiro and Lotte Department Store. There are various brand shops, department stores, and bonded shops. You can buy a variety of products such as clothing, shoes, and accessories so that the mecca of the fashion matches.

◎ What to Watch

• Myeongdong Cathedral: It is a symbol of Korean Catholic Church. It is also a symbol of the Korean democratization movement.

• Myeongdong Art Theater: The Myeongdong Art Theater, which was opened in June 2009 after restoring the old National Theater of Myungdong, is a theater and art performance hall where you can meet highly perfected theater works. In 1934, the Baroque style of the theater and modern interiors are well harmonized.
