CITY LIVING OR COUNTRYSIDE?

in busy •  7 years ago  (edited)

*If the city people are asked where they'd like to live, the common answer is to dwell in the countryside because everything is fresh and free: fresh air, fresh and free foods, free from pollution, and free from the traffic. Do you also agree that living in the countryside is somehow free from a few form of wickedness? Every time I open the television during TV Patrol (Abs-Cbn Channel-2 News program), cases reported are always vehicle accidents, stampede, bombing, snatching, illegal drugs, and different types of modus operands. However, seeking everything that can be answered is the good side of living in metropolitan thus the city people have no time for gossips. In fact, they are hostile because trusting strangers easily is a big deal.

The picture below is an Oasis Condominium in Davao City. Beside is the Sm Mall. It is very accessible to live at the core of the city.

Away from the noise of the city, my family and I sought a place to relax (image below).

We sought an island to relax. Even if the island was windy, we still experienced the hottest climate so we used our beach matt to cover our skin against the sun (image below).

Around 12 pm, we sought a shaded area to avoid sunburn. Glad we saw then we had a deep slumber (image below).

My family and I travelled away from the city. Our travel was from Butuan city that takes an hour to arrive at the borough in Tubay Agusan del Norte. Even around 6 am in the city is still hot so we decided to relax our minds to the rest house of my friend along the sea (image below).

As what we've seen, there is no traffic in the road. Only countable vehicles pass by because Tubay is a rural area (image below).

Then we arrived at our friend's rest house (image below).

Kids are thirsty to experience the beach even if the water (image below).

My little sister was enjoyable when she finally experienced the beach (image below).

The dog of my friend @maricrisbasco welcomed us. She lived outside Cris' house because the weather is colder enough even during summer (image below).

At home, my dogs don't like to stay outside the house because of humidity.

If we ask the countryside personages, they prefer to live in the city because of its accessibility. Its cons: we are not updated with the latest trends, no malls and convenience stores, no law officers nearby, and gossiping to the neighbors is always a habit. The good side of living in a countryside is the generosity of sharing foods with the neighbors. Learning and studying are comfortable because of the calm surrounding. The foods we eat is always free, fresh, and healthy.

Dear friends,

(In the picture above is the view of my homeland.)

Now that I lived in the city, I really miss the rural life.

(In the picture is my sister during her mountain adventure in Perez Sibagat Agusan del Sur.)

So, this coming April, my Steemit friends and I are planning to have an escapade to the mountain. This mountain has always been my root and my home because I lived when I was a child. Who could ever forget that paradisical place where only laughter and golden recollections I can remember than sadness?

(This is the small shallow river in Perez, Sibagat Agusan del Norte where we used to swim before and relax in its spring).

Who could ever forget that crazy habit to enjoy the river after school just to ride the bamboo rafting? If there was no school, we would go to the farm to harvest corns and fruits, then slumber under the nipa hut in the middle of the fresh air while birds are singing everywhere and the radio was playing.

(In the first collage is the Hampapalay river where we can see huge and tall rocks to jump into the deep water.

The other pictures are the Magsaysay river with only might watercourse that can relax our back and feet. This picture was taken a few years back.)

You know, wherever I am, whatever is the place, the longing of my heart to turn back to the place I was born is a tattoo that never goes away. It's my first love.

I miss climbing the trees and sleeping at the top, I miss catching fish, I miss slumbering above the rocks while playing music on the radio, I miss relaxing in the springs, I miss harvesting crops and fruits on the farm, I miss singing on guitar at my grandpa's fishpond while looking at the fishes, I miss riding in log raft, I miss sleeping in the nipa hut in the middle of the rice field while listening to the radio dramas, and I miss playing with my kitten under the rose bushes. I miss many things in my homeland and every time I imagine those 24-carat recollections, I am ever inclined to go back. It was the place of Eden!

Twenty years ago, my parents decided to leave the place to move to the city because of our college education. My parents never wanted us to separate from them so we sold our house to buy another residence in the urban. It is not easy to live in metropolitan if we are not abundant in money because houses are expensive. We cannot survive to live without our exact funding because everything to do needs money. Even just buying banana's leaves needs to be paid. I was really shocked when I saw a woman sold banana leaves because in the countryside no one sells it.

It's very free. It is very contradictory in rural because we can survive to live longer without money. We can just reap fruits and vegetables freely everywhere.

Children are avid learners because they are not distracted by massive influences that social media and TV can effect. During my stay before, studying was my favorite hobby in the spare time. If not to study, we were prone to games that needed physical activity. There is no distraction in that utopia because Television channels and SMS communications are unreachable so, people only updated the news of the world by the radio.

This is the city river in my place Butuan city.

This is the countryside river in my homeland.

Countryside. Certified pobrensyana here. Ahahahaha!

Nice post. I enjoyed looking at your pictures, which show a very different world compared to our European "rural life". Beside the beautiful nature, which we also have, our rural lifestyle is more similar to urban life, except that everything is far away (shopping, culture, restaurants...).

Nice photos friend @shane :)
If I were to asked hahah.. I still choose to live on the countryside :D oh I'm missing home..

Well I still prefer to live in the city and visit the rural areas from time to time. :) I have lived in the province before and I couldn't wait to go back to the city immediately when I was there. Of course if it's just a vacation then it's fine.

There's a lot of pictures. Lol. Shows that you and your family really enjoyed the places you went to. Maybe you can use some pics to join the various photo contests here in Steemit.

Wow Shane napakaganda ng mga napuntahan nyong lugar. Sama ako hehe ;)

yay photo overload.. i love that watermelon sis!

hi @lebron2016. I personally prefer the countryside. But sometimes in order to find greener pastures we have to go to the city. But I still really take some time visiting the country for relaxation. :) Steem on!

City life and country life both are important, we have to balance it according to our life. All the pictures are good hope you all have enjoyed a lot. Have a nice day.

Friend, I miss you. Visit ka dito sa La Union. You will love it here for sure <3 Xoxoxoxo
Btw, your photos and travels are fantastic!

there are a lot of pros and cons to this. living in the city gives you the easy access to the malls, grocery stores, and such. you won't get bored at all as there are tons of things that you can do here. on the other side though, it can also be stressful because traffic is constantly there, and so is the pollution and the hot temperature. haha! i love the idea of having a vacation in the country side like for 1 month then city ulit then country side uli pra hindi manawa hahaha

nice post
