I saw that many peaks of Yakushima were expanded to stop motion because we were heading towards Jetfly Island. The high speed ferry is the fastest and most expensive way to get there by the sea, but I was delighted that we were extraked extra; It was only at 10:28, the sun was shining, and we had about a day left to receive Belarus and started discovering the inspiration for the Princess Mnokok of Haoy Miyazaki.
To be told the truth, I've never seen the acclaimed studio Ghibli Film. "When I come back, I'll see it," I assured Austin. But a love for Japanese anime, I soon discovered that it is rarely a prerequisite to enjoy the island. With its impressive peak, the 1,000-year-old Yakusugi Trees, Cascading Falls and Pristik Coast, Yakushima is one of the most beautiful places you could imagine.
The capital of the Qusushima Prefecture is round-shaped, the subtropical islands, which are situated about 100 kilometers (32 NMI), where the south-facing arrow of the Kuusu is located, where the world's monumental and Indonesian echoes are combined.
In just 504.9 km² (5435 ft²²) size, Yakushima has six mountains, measuring 1,800 meters (5,05 feet) in height - a rare feature for its latitude - and a rich environment system that has 1,900 trees, 16 mammals and 150 bird species. Mount Miaora (1.935 m) is the highest peak in its center.
These unique qualities gained inscriptions of a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Yakushima 1993. It is also protected under the island Yakushima Wilderness area, Yakushima National Park, under the special natural monument and Yakushima Forest Ecosystem Reserve.
Forests of Yakushima are considered to be the best remaining in East Asia and some of Japan and the oldest tree in the world. One of the most accessible places to see this ancient Cedar is Yakushima land, where we decided to head for the afternoon after reaching at the Miyura Port.
Our first stop, though environmental culture was the village center where we took a few brochures and maps and bought our bus pass. Yakushima is served by two major companies - Matubbanda (colorful bus) and Tan Yaku Kotsu (white bus). Pass that gives the unlimited ride for a 100 円 discount ticket purchase and come days than can be free from one of the three tourist attractions that are passed in the modern offer.
Just as we resign from the building, it starts to blaze. Small, colorful dams turned the ink of our new pamphlets as I reduced myself to sensitive; Locals are only half-fun when they say they are 35 days in a month.
We decided to take the dive quickly to eat before moving ahead to the tourist center across the road. On the second floor of the lunch, an average 1,000 円 ($ 9) was built and there was a large amount of local spatiness, including deep-fried fish and salt-grill macarre. You can buy biko (lunch box) here with hiking traces and use internet for 500 円 / 30 minutes.
The first floor provides a range of services including information area planning inspection and hiking trip, latest weather and tide reports, and assistance with climbing and renting other outdoor equipment
Eleven souvenir shops sell the island's largest and various local products and OPGs. Outside the entrance to our bag (500 円) we chucked in the lobby row and crossed the road to catch our buses.
Yakusugi land is a 270-hectare nature park that is flowing through high cedar, conifer and ash trees high up. If you are lucky, you can touch a Yakuzara monkey or Yakusika deer, both of which are harmful to the island.
Since there are only two buses from Ambo to Park and one day back, we were limited to running the 30-minute course, although you have to choose three people who have the time. Fureaino Michi trail is well-known for the highlight and lots of circuits, including Kugurisugi and Futagosugi cedars, whose trunks are a few meters in diameter. To spend inside the park it costs 300; Money goes towards saving and maintenance.
On the street in the Sancta Street, on the road to the park, you can buy yakusugi handcuffs that are not available elsewhere, or enjoy the panoramic views of the forest below the second story rest area.
The time we got back to the tourism center, it was time to check in our accommodation for the night. We collect our bags and walk a little bit way towards Minshuku Shiratani Inn, hoping to stop at one of Mam's kitchen in his famous bag. For our woes, we discovered that the space does not exist anymore and can not be snake in the place of local A-Kopp.
After we entered the guest house, Hitamukur stuck on the kitchen and wine bar and continued our search for an impressive dinner. There are food items such as honeymoon ramen and macarl-antenna pistachios, each costing approximately 1200 円 ($ 11) per decision. The café also displays the house of Hirokan Jarki of Yakusika Smok and other local craftsmen.
After coming back from here and warming up with a nice, long bath, it's straight forward hiking in front of us
