Gwanghwamun Plaza, in the center of Seoul, is the heart of the city.
Now take a look inside Gwanghwanmun Gate.

Passing by Heungyemun Gate, a small bridge and Geunjeongmun Gate you encounter Geunjeongjeon.

This is Geunjeongjeon. It demonstrates the dignity of the Joseon Dynasty the best among the 5 palaces. It is the largest wooden structure existing in the country. It is where several king's coronation ceremony was performed in the early of the Joseon Dynasty and kings did official duties.

In no time it gets dark and night approached in Geongbokgung palace.

It is beautiful in the daytime, but even more beautiful at night because of illumination turned on during the period of night opening.

This is Gyeonghoeru.
Actually why I came here is that I just wanted to see Gyeonghoeru.
Isn't it fantastic with those lights on?
Gyeonghoeru pavilion had been built for meeting the foreign envoys but often used as banquet hall for king and subject.

I wish I could sit down and drink while chatting with friends in the pavilion like that!
