(33.62) 13 deaths in cholera epidemic in Niger
The cholera epidemic has occurred in Niger, West Africa. The United Nations said 13 people have already died. More than a thousand people have been affected.

In a statement from the United Nations Humanitarian Response Coordination Office, on Saturday it was reported that this epidemic began in the country's Maradis in the beginning of this month. Meanwhile, at least 993 people have been infected with cholera. Most of the victims are from one to 15 years old.
Niger's Health Minister Iliasu Mainasara said his ministry has been working under the control of this epidemic. However, experts are feared to be infected by many more people.
If it is not treated during the cholera period it can be vomiting along with diarrhea, stomach ache and stomach papas. The main cause of this disease is mainly contaminated food and water. According to the World Health Organization, 21 thousand to 1 43 thousand people die from cholera attack in poor countries with poor sanitation system.
