The number of Internet users in Bangladesh has reached 860 million now. According to the information provided by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), the number was 845 million in March and it increased to 886 million in April.
Most of these users use the Internet through mobile phones. In March this number was 7.77 million. Which rose 811 million in the next month.
The rest are using the internet through cable connections. In March this number was 56 lakh 60 thousand and in April this number has increased to 56 lakh 68 thousand. Besides, in the month of April, Wimax connecting the Internet users around the country is about 87 thousand.
