Dear Minnow (part 23)- 12 Incredibly Simple Ways To Make Money ($$$) From Steemit🚀🚀

in busy •  7 years ago

Dear Minnow,

Alot of times here people will be like "Don't put money first. People are your investments. The community first. Bring value etc". While all those points are true, the converse is not false. Do you know that some people on this platform are actually here to get the $$$. That's what they care about. In my opinion, they are 25% the ones who make this platform stable. Discard them and the rest of us will be without motivation less 1% who will actually do this even if it ain't paying.

This community is awesome...but lets think of things from another dimension.

The devs of steemit are some of the wisest set of people I HAVE SEEN IN A WHILE. The wisest thing they ever did on this platform was making it for both content creators and investors (or both). What do I mean by this? The investors in this case are the content curators. Just imagine for a minute that there was no incentive for curating. The chances that people will actually vote for others would have been lower. But now you gotta do it not just because you like that stuff but also because you are gonna earn something amazing when all is done.

Now to the question: how do you make money from steemit? There are a multitude of ways to kill a rat. Some of the methods are quite open while some are only for the initiated. I'll start with the more obvious methods.
images_28.jpg

FROM A WRITERS' PERSPECTIVE:

  • A. POST GOOD OUT-OF-THE-BOX CONTENT
People like to see uniquely refreshing stuff. There's nothing like "trending topic" here that you must 'chuck mouth'. The curators will find you if your stuff are good
  • B. GROW YOUR FOLLOWERS
This is a very important way to accelerate earnings
  • C. MAKE IMPORTANT CONNECTIONS
    Yeah! It goes without saying
  • D. USE THE RIGHT TAGS
This is a simple trick but it always works. Once you know the tags to use, you will be getting upped constantly.
  • E. FIND A NICHE
Give people the opportunity to know you for something special and unique.
  • F. PARTICIPATE IN CONTESTS
So many people ignore the power of contests. You can gain financial rewards as well as exposure just for winning a cool contest.

FROM AN INVESTOR'S PERSPECTIVE:

  • A. LOOK OUT FOR GOOD CONTENTS & UPVOTE
You should be more like a talent hunter. Find those that are most likely to succeed and invest in them
  • B. INVEST IN OTHER PEOPLE WITH IDEAS BY
    i. Delegating steem power
    ii. Joining a voting trail
  • C. BOOST YOUR STEEM POWER TO THE MOON
If you are still using just the steem power that Steemit delegated to you, then you are getting it all wrong. As an investor, you have to invest. Minimum 1000 steem power.

FROM BOTH PERSPECTIVES

  • A. MONITOR THE WHALES AND COMMENT ON THEIR POSTS
Take care to comment on active whales who usually reply posts. They will upvote you if you leave an impressive comment. With your high steem power as an investor you earn mega curation rewards too.
  • B. MAKE SOME BUSINESS CONNECTIONS
Your ability to connect with like-minded individuals is invaluable
  • C. SUPPORT GROWING TALENT
    They are always the future

For me, the best place to be on this scheme of things is to be both a creator and an investor. That way you eat both parts of the cake...both the icing and the actual cake! Apply everything on this list and you will be a god-whale in a few months.

This is a summary guide for easier assimilation. Most of these points would be expanciated with time. So stay tuned!

I hope this was super helpful for you!

Cheers! 💪💪🍷🍷

Wow this is priceless info. Thanks for sharing this with us.

  • So you advocate for "specialising" versus "diverifiction" in terms of content? I agree with this 100%. But it is hard at the beginning to establish yourself but your folwers will get to know what you are about.

  • How do you find the right tags to use? I just use random tags.

Hey @jeanwandimi,

But it is hard at the beginning to establish yourself ...

Yes indeed. Thats why you have to try out different things and see what works for you. When you find it, keep doing it. Eg. Someone like you may actually do well travelling exotic places and showing us amazing pictures like you did in the last post.

How do you find the right tags to use? I just use random tags.

Nope! Don't just use random tags. Noone will see your posts. Visit https://steemit.com/tags for all the tags. You will be able to see which ones are cool for your niche/blog post. Write them down for future use.

Cheers to success!

Excellent advice, I use almost all of them, I still need to create more connections and learn to cure content, it is true that I still do not have enough steempower and that is my excuse for now, however, I will save your advice well in my profile for a new reread ;)

Greetings!!

Thanks @luming. I'm glad you found this little piece useful. Our lives is a work in progress...so lets keep improving it.

help others succeed and same time you succeed alongside with them nicely said

Sure brov. Its a 2-way thing....thats life for you. Cheers!

Well written post with valuable input :):) I completely agree with your perspective relating to investors and curators. The one thing I would add is the fact that you won't earn rewards on all posts, even if the post itself earns high rewards. Reason: With immediately self voted posts 100% of the reward goes to the author :( Then it works on a sliding scale up until the 30 minute mark. I'm working on something that will assist Steemians with this so you know your vote and time put into reading someone else's content will add value both ways :)

Hey @therneau, thanks for stopping by.

I'm working on something that will assist Steemians with this so you know your vote and time put into reading someone else's content will add value both ways :)

Okay wow. Well-done. Will be looking out for it.

My tip for you would be to care more about your most loved steemians.

I see you all over the place Naira. You are a loved person whereever you go because you are a friendly person.

However, you will not build in depth relations like that.

Quality over quantity in your relations.

Seperator.png

I stopped commenting and upvoting on some followers blogs because we don't have much in common and it is tiring.

On the other hand I have people where I love to write comments and that is for the members of my community.

These guys have created banners for me, written great posts about me, they send me gifts and they talk to me in the voice chat.

We always help each other.

And that is worth more than all the comment only "relations" with people here on Steem you have never talked to.

Cheers.

Well brov. I understand where you are coming from. My mindset has always been quality over quantity. But I'm a kind of person with wide interests. So I don't restrict myself in terms of who I relate with. I hold everyone dear provided I see something that interests me.

I also happen to have the ability to get much done within a short time. So even though you may see me in alot of places, I also give depth wherever I go.

Thanks!

#Hug-Challenge!

I disagree.

You write badass comments, but I haven't seen you in the voice chat once and I don't see you writing much in the community on discord either.

And that is because you put more weight on quantity.

"So even though you may see me in a lot of places, I also give depth wherever I go."

Hard to give real depth if you are all over the place.

Well said brother am giving you A1 for this post 🙌

Thanks man. Keep steeming!

Reading this post, it dawn on me that this is a simplified version of how to make money on steemit 101. Easier to read and straight to the point. Reading a newbie will not find it hard starting off on steemit. You said something about tag and i want to agree with you on it. Lately i have been twerking the tag of some my post, after noticing lack of view and some have been turning out result.
@nairadaddy here your #Hug challenge. Please extend my #Hug-challenge to nairamummy

Lolx. @enm. I will definitely extend the hugs to nairamummy. Rotfl!

I'm always looking for ways to invest my time with Steemit and it's good to be prudent with decisions. I try to keep things 'organic' as much as I can, but it's always tempting to use pay-per-play tactics.

I enjoy curating, but the reward is not even close to post generation. Still, it's how to invest time, especially as time becomes more precious. @ironshield

Thank you!

Good stuff, liked reading that I was doing correct by spending sbd's on sp. 1000 sp seems so far away but little by little will get there.

Yeah bro. Its very necesary to get SP. It helps in curation. And for helping other minnows....Cheers!
