Flowers with Latin name Amorphophallus titanum is indeed smells not as delicious as rotten meat. However, the carcass flowers will benefit from the insects that are interested in the smell: they will help pollinate the flower.
Insects will enter the flower because they are attracted by the stench and also the heat generated by the flower - making it more similar to the rotten meat for insects. Once inside the flower, the insects will be covered with powder, which they will spread elsewhere after they fly out.
