Cow's food management

To keep the cow's production and productivity in the desired level, it is essential to provide balanced and accurate feed to the cow. Raw grass is the main food grain. In addition, in general, agricultural products are used as food, such as rice gram, wheat bhushi, khesari bhushi, maize, broken, musur, mung, gram, and matar bhushi, sesame khail, tisir khail, rice straw, maize hay etc. We can divide the livestock food into two groups, namely.

Fiber food

Raw grass, rice straw, maize hay etc. are used as fiber-fiber food. There is no land in our country. So a severe lack of raw grass. Generally the weeds that are grown in the crop fields are fed to the cattle as grass. However, this grass is not enough to celebrate the cow on the farm. Therefore, grass farming needs to be cultivated for the farm's cattle. In our country, the seeds of improved varieties of grass are available today. For example - Napier, Para, Hybrid Sargam (Jumbo), German Grass, Alpha Alfa, Lusern etc.

Grainy food

Grainy foods such as rice rice, wheat bhushi, khesari bhushi, maize, mushur, mug, gram and matar bhushi, sesame khail, tisir khail etc are included. These food components are mixed in a certain proportion to form balanced granulated food. The balanced food grains can be made on the farm itself. Apart from this, the balanced food grains produced in the food factories are available in different markets. These are fed to the required quantity of cattle. Useful materials for making cattle balanced food like hay, green grass, grained food and water. For a cow with a weight of 100 kg, it is usually 1 to 2 kg of food, 5-6 kg of green grass and 1-1.5 kg of grainy food. Grainy food combination requires 50% of wheat gram, 20% of rice molasses, broken khesari 18%, khail 10% mineral mixture 1% and iodine salt 1%. In the case of milch cow, for the production of first liter of milk, 3 kg of grains of grains and one kg of grains for the production of 3 liters of milk is to be given.
