On his way from New Zealand, he stopped at home in Seoul. There was a night transplant here. Flight to Moscow from Seoul takes off at 12:45, so I got up early and strolled through the capital of South Korea.
The transplantation was not very successful. I booked a hotel at the airport myself. As it turned out already upon arrival, Seoul has two international airports, Incheon and Gimpo. I flew to Incheon, and the hotel was waiting for me in a completely different place. Fortunately two airports are on the same subway line, so I reached the hotel in just 30 minutes and 4 dollars.
Incheon Airport, by the way, is very steep. First, there is a hotel for transit passengers (it is better to book in advance if you have a transfer with Korean airlines). Secondly, for those who are waiting for a transfer at the airport, Koreans came up with a lot of entertainment from concerts and exhibitions, to golf courses and casinos. Those who decided to go to the city are offered free tours! You can go to the museum for an hour, or you can go around the city for 5 hours, go shopping. Will fly through Seoul, keep in mind. All information is on the airport's website.
He left for the center at 7 am, dawned closer to 8.
The people hurry to work
- The seller of shoes
- I went to the market to have breakfast
- There is always a lot of yummy.
- Mmmmmm, pickled crab!
- But I chose a more traditional food for the stomach.
- My main goal was to look at the Korean river Chongjecheon. What is so interesting about it? A small river flowed here for a long time ... But in the middle of the last century it was decided to concretize and turn it into an autoroute.
That's how recently this place looked. Forty years after the construction, the road was decided to be demolished and returned to the river.
- The river stretches for 6 kilometers through the center of Seoul. Along the coast, a pedestrian zone was built, which was divided into several thematic routes.
- Economically, the Chongjecheon River stimulated business activity in the vicinity. The number of business points increased by 3.5%, and the cost of land grew almost half. Residents began to settle in the area more actively because of the favorable ecological situation.
- Here's an interesting project instead of a road
- Now it's winter in Seoul ...
- But in summer it is very beautiful here.
- Across the river interesting transitions
- Navigation
- It is strange only that there are almost no shops.
- Ducks live in the river.
- Street toilet.
- Protection of the post from illegal advertising.
- Steep advertising at the bus stop. You become a certain place, the camera shoots you and translates the image to the screen. An elephant begins to walk around you, jump a kangaroo. As I understand, you can take your picture and send it somewhere. Very cool thing.
- Traffic starts. In Seoul, there is a restriction on the entry of cars into the center. Depending on the number, car owners were allowed to come to the center on an even or odd day.
- It is better to go by subway)
- The entrance to the metro
- Even if there is an underground passage under the crossroads (part of the metro infrastructure), at the top it will be duplicated by a zebra. In Korea they know that in the center of a normal city the roads pass through a zebra.
- In the subway there are boxes with personal protective equipment in case of emergency
- On the walls hang flashlights.
- To get on the train, they all line up in a neat queue, and do not crowd like we do.
- A convenient scale showing how much to go to which station.
- In the cars there are shelves, on which you can put your things.
- And sleep
Korea in general I really like, especially with friendly Koreans. In a store or cafe you are treated very respectfully. Always bowing, thanking and extremely kind. At first, such attention and courtesy discourages and embarrasses, but soon you get used to good things quickly. In this the Koreans are very similar to the Japanese.
아름다운 한국의 모습 잘 보고 갑니다!
