The head of the operation Narongsak Osottanakorn confirmed in the middle of a press conference, that four children had left the cave and were "in perfect condition".
The first two children emerged from the cave complex at approximately 7:30 pm (local time) after a difficult journey of more than four kilometers, the children were taken by ambulance to the Chaing Rai hospital, located an hour from the cave.
The Thai authorities decided to start a daring attempt on Sunday to remove the group of teenagers and their coach amid fears of an increase in the water level inside the cave.
The route that they have to travel contains parts in which the children have to dive and others that they can cross walking, the adolescents are being rescued in groups and it is not clear how long the mission will take.
The rescue order came after the head of operations indicated that conditions were perfect for the rescue to begin, while fears grew about the arrival of more rain in the area.
In fact, there are forecasts of rainfall for next week.
The regional governor explained to the media that in some points the water has dropped so much that "they can walk by".
A team of more than 1,000 people has been preparing the rescue for a few days and they have removed millions of liters of water from the caves to facilitate the operation, five Thai divers and 13 foreigners are guiding the children, one by one, through the cave system .
Narongsak explained that it takes around 10 hours to prepare the next mission.
