I did this and I'm very happy with the decision. Currently I manage:
@thecryptolink: my main account, focused in investment related topics, trading journal, etc.
@empoderat: alt account from where I'm publishing my actifit reports. I'm also using this account as a 'motivational' and 'self-empowerment' area. I'm also not comfortable spamming actifit reports daily with my main. sportstalk and lifestyle (& similar) goes there.
@curatorlink.leo: curation account for the LEO tribe, my favourite place to spend time as I grabbed a big amount of LEO tokens in the early days.
Hope that post helps.

I know you did...the question is if this is what we should do...
but I’m happy if it’s good for you 😉

The Steem landscape will keep changing overtime, and what works now maybe won't tomorrow.
I think it's important to keep our own responsibility about what we publish, and always look for ways to keep adding value.
Why we want a 'staking' coin if our main investment lose half the value (or more) in the process? Senseless.
Looking at it HF21 its slowly changing how users interact. Let's see how communities and SMT impact everything.
If there's net Steem being powered up after weeks/months we'll be fine. As I see it, I'm using three different accounts to 'empower' three different types of content.
Relax, take a shower (or a run!). Steem it's still a proof of concept and with enough time will be polished more & more.
