Block Show Africa

There are many blockchain conferences that are lined up for the fourth quarter of the year but of all the conferences, the one that I anticipate the most is Block Show Africa.

Block Show is a major event that is organised by Cointelegraph. BlockShow Africa is however currently spearheaded by the CEO of CryptoTVplus, Mr Tony Emeka. CryptoTVplus is the foremost Cryptocurrency media outlet in Nigeria.

The first meeting towards the preparation for Block Show Africa was held on the 22nd of September 2018 and although I was not present, I followed the event closely and got information that it was a huge success.

I'm excited about Block Show Africa because it would bring Africa together to discuss Blockchain technology. Some countries like Kenya are already making major progress in the industry while some others are still making silly policies like taxing social media.

I strongly believe that Blockchain and Cryptocurrency is the future and that Third World countries in Africa should strive to become the early adopters so that they can be in the forefront of the battlefield of tech innovation and development and not left behind again.

I am currently serving in the position of the Public Relations Officer for the Steering Committee of the Nigerian Blockchain Association. The Nigerian Blockchain Association is going to be launched on the 9th of December, this date coincides with the date for Block Show Africa.

I'm excited!
