Gratitude Day 53/62: Binance

Binance is one of my favorite cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency exchange. The first thing that made me fall in love with binance was when they were able to twat the effort of some hackers, effectively saving their customers from losing thousands of dollars.

In the world of Cryptocurrency, the law of the jungle applies, everyone who puts his money in an exchange does so with the knowledge that there is a risk associated with that. The exchange can be hacked, it can go liquidated due to mismanagement, you are basically giving them your money and trusting that they don't screw you over. Anyone who compromises his private keys, compromises his funds. If you don't take proper security measures (and even if you do) you could get hacked.

But Binance cared! To me that's just fantastic. This is not the only scenario where they displayed competence and love for their customers.

We think that crypto has a strong use case in less developed countries. There is more money to be made in a more developed country but we want to distribute crypto to the rest of the world.

A lot of people will love CZ for the above words. You know, when you have a brand that cares, that actually give a f*** about people and do not use people as a tool, when you are out to serve people, they notice and they appreciate it. You will gain more influence and more access.

Binance recently opened it's first Crypto-fiat trading in Uganda. This is very good news for the African continent. I've always had this hope that Africa will not be left out in the coming third industrial revolution. We can leapfrog from where we are and leaverage with current technologies to boost our technological and scientific growth.

Today I want to thank God for the Africa-Binance relationship. I'm currently in a telegram group called binance Nigeria (@binancenigeria). Perhaps in a very short time frame, binance will open crypto and fiat trading to Nigerians too.

• Cryptocurrency is a online money that is decentralized(not controlled by a central entity), uses an immutable ledger called Blockchain and has superpowers.

• Exchange is a site where Cryptocurrencies are bought and sold.
