Mars is the 4th planet from that the Sun and beyond those terrestrial planets. Like the remaining planets in the solar system , Mars is named after a mythical figure - the Roman god of war. Besides its official title, Mars can be known as the Red Planet due to the brownish-red colour of its surface. Mars is the next smallest planet in the solar system supporting Mercury.
FACTS ABOUT MARS
Mars has the biggest volcanoes in the solar system, such as Olympus Mons, which is about 370 miles (600 kilometers) in diameter, broad enough to cover the whole country of New Mexico. It's a shield volcano, with slopes which grow slowly like people of Hawaiian volcanoes, also was made by eruptions of lavas that flowed for long distances before solidifying. Mars also has lots of different sorts of marine landforms, from little, steep-sided beams to huge plains coated from hardened lava. Some small eruptions might still happen on Earth.
Mars is much colder than Earth, in substantial part owing to the greater distance from sunlight. The average temperature is all about minus 80 degrees Fahrenheit , though it can range from minus 195 F close to the poles throughout the winter to up to 70 F in midday close to the equator.
Mars atmosphere contains 96%~Carbondioxide; 2% Argon, 2% Nitrogen and 1% other gases as compared to Earth.
Mars probably has a good core composed of nickel, iron and sulfur. The mantle of Mars is probably similar to Earth's in it's composed largely of peridotite, which is composed primarily of oxygen, silicon, magnesium and iron. The crust is most likely largely manufactured from this volcanic rock basalt, which can be typical in the crusts of the Earth and the moon, though a few crustal rocks, particularly in the northern hemisphere, might be a kind of andesite, a volcanic rock that contains more protein compared to basalt does.
The surface of Mars could be split into two broad attributes, which, coincidentally, are separated from the world's hemisphere. The northern structure is regarded as relatively smooth with few craters, whereas the southern hemisphere is a place of highlands which are more heavily cratered than the northern Peninsula. Aside from topographical differences, the distinguishing characteristic of both areas seems to be geological action, together with all the northen plains being far more lively.
A range of space assignments are likely for another decade the additional increase our comprehension of Mars and if it has the prospect of extraterrestrial life, in addition to if it might be a viable world for a colony.
Both moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos, were discovered by American astronomer Asaph Hall within the span of a week at 1877.
Mars now has no global magnetic field, but you can find areas of its crust which could be 10 times more strongly magnetized than anything else quantified on Earth, remnants of an early global magnetic field.
The seasons which Mars encounters are somewhat more intense than Earth's since the red planet's elliptical, oval-shaped orbit round the sun is much more extended than that of some of the other important planets. When Mars is nearest to sunlight, its southern hemisphere is tilted toward sunlight, giving it a brief, hot summer, while the northern hemisphere encounters a brief, cold winter. When Mars is farthest from sunlight, the northern hemisphere is tilted toward sunlight, giving it a long, gentle summertime, although the southern hemisphere undergoes a long, chilly winter.
Olympus Mons is a 21 km high and 600 km diameter shield volcano which has been formed billions of years back. Researchers have discovered a great deal of recent signs of lava lava that indicates Olympus Mons may continue to be active. It's the 2nd greatest mountain in the whole solar system, topped only by the Rheasilvia central summit on the asteroid Vesta, which is 22 kilometers high.
Our ability to adopt dictates our survival. If we have mistaken in theories we must change it to understand.
A constant bashing of heads against a wall only does more damage and over a long period of time it further impairs the ability to think which places us at an increased disadvantage.
The "facts" as stated is truly astonishing. Who however dictates whether it be classified as such?
Impressive images man.

Great article! I did some lessons about Mars last year and I used some of these facts when I introduced the planet :)
