Litauen ist der größte der baltischen Staaten.

Litauen ist eines des Landes Bevölkerung ist stark rückläufig. Der Grund dafür ist Migration in EU-Länder und natürlicher Rückgang. Seit 1993 ist die litauische Bevölkerung jedes Jahr um durchschnittlich 1% zurückgegangen.
