K.P Prem Ananth – 57, a membership card holder of the Madras High Court Advocates Association, who also contested as the BJP's candidate in the 2006 elections from Dr.Radhakrishnan Nagar in Chennai – molested a minor girl of 9 on a running train, in less than 24 hours of India's newly instituted law which gives death penalty for rape of minor under 12.

On being caught red-handed, the accused threatened the people on train saying that he's "politically connected".

According to Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), 48 Member of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assembly have declared cases of crime against women. Then out of those, India's ruling party, BJP, has the highest number of MPs and MLAs at 12, followed by Shiv Sena (7) and Trinamool Congress (6). These aren't simply allegations but serious cases that the court has taken cognisance of.
