I have an interesting feeling that people will flip the lid when all of a sudden you'll have a presidential candidate reintroduce the Lockean Proviso aka an aspect of Natural Law on the homestead principle and total decentralization. It will surely mess with the bankers and corporations for sure.
What I mean by total decentralization is that each state will have total autonomy meaning it will not be a minarchy but a type of confederation, this surpass the concept of minarchism. Minarchism is small government and also decentralized but in minarchism states do not have their autonomy and the reason why government can also grow.
Now once that is broken down states in them selves will start decentralizing possibly. For example with the CALEXIT, Cali wants to secede from the central federal government but also want to decentralize within the state after secession also.
But I think that the Lockean Proviso and decentralization will possibly freak people out because years of a particular conditioning that it becomes hard to see through even from those who want the best for people and themselves.
I think people might fear freedom without knowing and the Lockean Proviso and decentralization might be major bugaboos for people.
