This is the preparation for an amalgam class 2

It’s been about months since I began my journey to become a dentist and it’s been a wild ride to say the least.

I haven’t been able to be as active on steemit because of the course load, but it’s an easy week so I thought I would share a before and after pic for my amalgam class 2 filling!

This is the finished product!

Definitely feeling more comfortable with the drill. Feels like my dexterity improves and I have more control, which is a feeling I thought I’d never achieve!

If you have any dental questions feel free to ask. Not a doctor yet, but I’ll try my best to answer!

Until next time, this has been a message from your friendly neighborhood #spiderblogger!

Do those metal amalgams contain mercury?

Yeah they do but it isn’t dangerous because it’s not free!

What does it's not free mean?

Think of it as like not dangerous! Only at high heats does it get dangerous

Dude you are working on it and that is fantastic! Yeah two hands working equally, it does help you in the end I must. I used to practise my wrong hand for sugery also a lot... I used a lot of bananas and oranges to practise one, but that might not so handy for you in your profession :D

Wait!!!!! You’re a surgeon doctor Karin?! No way, that’s amazing!

But that strategy might help me out actually! I have to constantly use my mirror while drilling, which I’m currently bad at haha

Im a surgical assistent ;)

But same kind of training on instrument handeling

try using your mirror at home with other stupid practise things...fixing your sink, picking pepperballs out of a box with corners, stitchng the back side of your couch...anything!

Ahhh that’s still amazing! Believe it or not, I don’t do well with people opened up in front of me lol dentistry is less invasive!

And thanks for the advice I’ll try that!
