Hey Everyone,

We did it! We won! The community came together and I know many were disappointed in our level of engagement, but when there is a "Call to Action" low percentages of participation are expected.

I thought we did a great job and I am proud of our community!

Nice job everyone!

Steem is incredible! It makes the hardest forks. With netcoins, you are going to be so tired of winning, believe me.

Cheers~

Yay! We did it!

O M G that is amazing. We did it. 😍😍 WELL DONE EVERYONE 😍😍

Winners

Thats us 😁

FINALLY! I don't know what to do, hug, cry, or both!?

both for sure

Dear @whatsup, yes everybody we did our best to get this result, thank you to all our community!
But one question to all my friends, really Steem need to win this netcoin listing?
I do not see any main coin into this list, we are in 40 position and Verge is 41 in coinmarketcp, but i think Steem it should be over such contests as main coin, what do you think?

No, we didn't need to, but I still think it was good for the community to focus on something and make it happen.

Also, it is likely good for some sales a bit also.

I’ll be interested to see whether it actually improves Steem’s market cap position. It’s slipped to 41 again.

This is so awesome! I just posted about it myself about the same time as you! Exciting news. I can't wait to see how it positively impacts the platform.

Well, if we put that same effort into setting goals and working on them... it would be amazing.

Great.
There are four stores where Edmontonians can buy steem now.

I wish that had been the case when I still lived there. But, alas.. no stores down here in North Dakota.

On the bright side, I will be in Calgary next month, and will go out of my way to buy some Steem for cash.

Do you know if you can sell crypto through the Netcoins app? Or purchase items through participating retailers who have the app?

You can sell only through their website for now, as far as I understand.

Isn't that always the case - much easier to obtain crypto anonymously than it is to sell it anonymously...

Oh this is great and great teamwork!

Yeah, it was good teamwork and I hope we walk away seeing the power of having a community.

I knew it! We did it! What an amazing community effort! I'm so proud of everyone!

How many people had never heard of NetCoins until this contest? But dammit I bet it is big in Japan!

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

It's actually a big player in Canada, and it is good for the community to focus on something while we wait for SMTs.

Their market is in ATMs that distribute Cryptos... So, a pretty cool venture in a young market space.

The contest was about name recognition for both teams.

So.. yeah, maybe you are in Japan??

Some get it, some don't.

It's actually a big player in Canada

Yeah, good point.

Big player was entirely overstated.

(damn kill joys who hold stake are annoying_)

I wonder if you went into those stores and asked to buy Bitcoin would you get any better than a blank stare.

Not if it was my store.

Nice! The Canadian market has been very important and they have more ATMs per citizen than the United States.

Hopefully there will be enough liquidity when it gets listed.

I am excite, and my body trembles with untold readiness.

Yes!!!

Hi @whatsup. It is the result that counts. Netcoins is better off having a community like Steem than the other coins. If I had to make a business decision that is what I would have done.

Yes! Oh yes!

we know that if we unite nothing can beat our strong family

That is so good to hear, I thought we came 2nd but we all knew that all our votes were genuine and our community was bigger than INS or Verge.. Hard work and support of community paid off in the end.

Yaaaasssssssss

woop woop!

Winning...

Great to see it. It's more the principle of the thing at this stage rather than the prize.

I wonder what deep onion is 🤔😅

Woohoo!!! Awesome WIN!! Congratulations #steemfam

Though I was disappointed with the number of votes, it's still a good win and also despite the statistics that were brought up about Netcoins (because of the losing feeling I think)

What I wanna see now is how many votes we got and how many fake votes the other coins got.

Yeeeeaaahhhh!!

Yay we will be listed on an exchange that nobody has heard of, didn't exist before very recently, has absolutely no web traffic, charges listing fees, which most crypto communities didn't even bother to compete for!

But it's the principle of the matter. :-P

Edit: In seriousness, it's good that we won.

^ Kill Joy... and we wonder why we can't get community engagement.

Agreed it is new, agreed they were using a Marketing Campaign to get engagement and name recognition.

It is my opinion celebrating a little success wouldn't hurt anyone. Sigh..

On the plus side other obscure exchanges might start running listing contests just to get some of that sweet Steemit buzz going for them.

No fun allowed.

Yay! I thought we were ahead when I went to bed that night, with only 3 hours left before it closed. But then someone else posted that half past midnight PDT they saw INS ahead. Looks like a lot of their votes got thrown out!

Yippee!

That's fucking rad. I knew something sketch was going on there with INS, glad they ate shit. INS=Pussyboi coin :)

Looks like we all pulled together and did it that’s amazing so proud of the steem fam! Even though those other coins cheated we still won lol! Haters gona hate! Stay salty you vote farming shit coins

This made my day!

it was awesome not only for the benefits that steem will have and thus the platform and us but also i think we got a pretty good idea now as to how many users are active
