I'm wanting to hear from as many people as possible that learned to buy/sell/transfer crypto, because you joined Steem. Please see the post link above and submit your answers.

I posted mine. I just figured out how to use blocktrades because Coinspot wasn't letting me sell Bitcoin. So, I think it's really a learning experience for everybody.

I wonder if someone looking at this decide not to vote to not ruin it.

I just saw that and was like.. YIKES someone else vote please...lol

lol, it had dropped to 6.64 but voted and now it is 6.68. It might continue dropping though another .02 and end up back at 6.66 again, so here is hoping more come along and upvote lol.

I read your comment on turning down a role in whatever it is that they are setting up with Ned. I understand as vague as it is that you are reluctant to commit to any unspecified role, but hoping you will keep an open mind if you see a way your expertise could be of benefit. So many of us trust you. You speak your mind, not letting fear of being crushed by stronger accounts deter you. You are well known and well liked. And, based on other comments you have made, you have been involved in business and understand things that coders and such probably don't.

I am giving my feedback on the process of helping to elect a workgroup to work on a potential foundation.

Thank you for the kind words. My experience is corporate and fast without a huge amount of gathering consensus and moving slow. :) But I am trying to add things I think are relevant.

:D

Hi @whatsup, I guess I'm a bit late to market on this one... but I wrote a piece to address your questions from the first post.

Thanks! Here it is.If there are missing info just tell me plz. ok?

Hi @whatsup I was not in crypto prior to on-boarding to Steemit although had heard of it. It seemed like something that was complex and quite ethereal to be honest and as somewhat of a pragmatist I hadn't done any investigation.

Once on Steemit, through my brother @tarazkp I started to understand a little more although I wouldn't say I have a solid comprehension of the scenario. Still, I hold some coins in Bittrex and back early in 2018 was trading a little here and there. Since the decline not so much.

These days I blog in an attempt to increase my steem and SP despite payouts being very poor. (If it wasn't for OCDB they'd be pitiful). I guess I figure that some is better than none though. I also threw a few hundred AUD into some steem which I powered up only late last year.

I think it looks like a bit of a maze when standing on the outside looking in (to crypto) and therefore seems daunting. I've had many and multiple property investments (none now) and hold precious metals...I feel a little more diversified through having some crypto.

I'm not sure if this is the sort of thing you were interested in hearing but too late now right? 😀

I actually have a post going live in a few hours about crypto/property investment and the importance of research. I wrote it for my work blog after meeting a guy who researched one and not the other...The point of the post being the importance of research.

Thank you for taking the time to do this. Sorry about how slow I have been to respond.

That's ok, we're all busy and have commitments. Thanks for doing so.

Here is my story - pretty short but contains all the details. :)

Yep and that is fine with me!

August 2016 was my introduction to crypto currencies when I signed up for steemit. I had been following the @dollarvigilante for a few years, and when @jeffberwick interviewed @ned and @dan, I had to sign up.

Heard of bitcoin in the beginning, but was in a different world at the time. I soon started exchanging Steem for bitcoin, and it has been an amazing ride.

I’m still finding paper wallets from 2016. Lol

I had not been involved with any crypto before i started here!

Naw, Heard of bitcoin first. Went to frenzy thinking that bitcoin was old and looked for bunch of altcoins. Steem one of them. Slowly came back to bitcoin and recognize why it so great.
I basically a Bitcoin minimalist. I recognize the value of altcoins and why some are great(ie Monero,Steem) but put bitcoin before anything else. I slowly move alot of value back to bitcoin but still hold alts.

I haven't been in crypto before and I haven't put a STEEM penny out of it yet, so a lousy candidate :P

I’m sorry I cannot contribute here since I started on crypto months before entering in Steem, however, I would say that Steem has provided me a huge knowledge of the cryptosphere which I doubt any other mean would ever provide...
Steem and steemit is like a school for anyone interested on learning about crypto, actually I recommend anyone showing some interest to start with Steem since it is the best example to understand many Blockchain concepts which are difficult to swallow when you are a newcomer to this world.
IMO, Steem is the great introductory portal to Blockchain technology.
