Life cycle

  • Egg - A butterfly begins its life as an egg, regularly laid on a leaf.

  • Hatchling - The hatchling (caterpillar) hatches from an egg and eats leaves or blooms always. The caterpillar sheds (loses its old skin) ordinarily as it develops. The caterpillar will increment up to a few thousand times in measure before pupating.

  • Pupa - It transforms into a pupa (chrysalis); this is a resting stage.

  • Grown-up - A delightful, flying grown-up rises. This grown-up will proceed with the cycle.
