I visited a park call in the mid-town of Bangkok the other week and came across a lovely bush of yellow flowers as i was walking through this high bush of lovely yellow flowers i could see butterflies all around me flying in every direction and had walked straight into a beautiful maze of butterflies.
It was like feeding time and i didn't know which one or how i was going to photograph any of these hundreds of butterflies swarming around me but i waited patiently and stood in the one spot hoping that some would eventually land near me , patience does pay of and as so it happened after about 100 photos and standing there for almost a hour i managed to get a few usable photos.
I do think that these butterflies are all members of the Monarch butterfly and they are also known as the milkweed butterfly belonging to the family of Nymphalidae butterflies. The Monarch butterflies can live two to six weeks but it is known that if they travel to warmer condition like Californian and Mexico they can live from six to eight months.
In the spiritual world they say when you see a Monarch butterfly it means that you need to make a changes in your life it's a sign of rebirth , transformation and new opportunities coming to you well to me it was a beautiful butterfly day surrounded by so much beauty.
