If you are buying a house in Tasmania here are a few tips to help.
Get a good conveyancer or a lawyer, I've seen clients come unstuck trying to do the conveyancing themselves.
Get insurance from the day you sign the contract.
Make sure you include the building inspection clause with at least 10-14 days
The defect limit. try to keep it at 1% or no greater than $10,000.
High defect limits make it harder to get out of the contract if there are structural issues.
Get a good building inspector, Don't use a real estate recommend one
