“Thank you to everybody who participated in this week’s contest! We had a lot of really great work come in, from a lot of very capable photographers. It was very interesting to see how everyone incorporated this week’s theme into their photos. It wasn’t easy pulling the winners, but in the end, these 8 stood out to me. Congrats to the winners, and once again, thank you for participating.
Oh, and much thanks also to @daveks for having me on for this week’s guest judge, and for facilitating this contest. It was a pleasure to go over the work of so many very talented people. Keep on chasing the light! :)”

It is always interesting to see how other people judge and what is more important for them. This time is perfect set and not just still-life (which is actually more obvious choice to reflect "yesteryear" topic), but also portraits, which is much more harder to achieve necessary effect in this case :) So, many thanks to @monotharch for quality result and of course to @daveks still continuing very interesting contest
