Good day, Steemians!

@daveks is hosting a B&W Photo Contest

sponsored by model Steemian @papa-pepper.
I love photography, so thank you @daveks & @papa-pepper
for a fun game to play!
Thanks to @bodhisattva for judging this week.

This week's theme is architecture,
and I LOVE ARCHITECTURE,
but I especially love photography challenges
about architecture
: check it out.

So here I submit a stunning building in the
city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India:

image (2).jpg

It's called the Hawa Mahal, or alternatively the Pink Palace.

It really is made of pink sandstone,
but the detail is still exquisite in black and white.

"They" say it was made so the royal ladies could look out
at life on the street without being seen...
because they had to stay hidden away and all...

I took this on a Canon T2i when I was in India.

~THE END~

I visited this place in jaipur, india.... Amazing pic!

Thank you, @hms818! I loved that the land in Jaipur was dry and dusty, but the women of the city wore gorgeous bright neon fabrics. They looked so beautiful against a relatively neutral background!

This is a great shot indeed and a nice place to visit. Thanks.
I mentioned you in my new post, feel free to check it out.

Thanks, @charles1! I'll have a looksie.

welcome, thanks a lot too.

loved it sara

Thanks!

OMG THAT IS BEATIFUL! TEACH ME HOW TO BE A GOOD PHOTOGRAPHER!

Thank you, @superbuckles!

I think photography is mostly about having fun with what you're doing, but here are some easy tips:
A. Point the camera at something interesting.
B. Frame the shot well.
C. Focus focus focus!!

It really is that easy to get a good shot.

There are all kinds of ways to play with a camera, but that's a wonderful starting point. With digital cameras, you can take tons of shots of the same scene from different angles or playing with different lighting or depth of field or whatever and just delete the ones you don't like!

Wow very exquisite and sofisticated architecture indeed.

Absolutely gorgeous!

I've seen this a lot of time in internet and I wish to visit here.

I hope you get to go there one day!

wow - such great pictures! @saramiller
