St Bartholomew's Episcopal Church Known as St Barts is on Park Avenue Between 50th and 51st Streets in midtown Manhattan.

The church was built between 1916 and 1917 and it really stands out against the high rises around it.

Beautiful Church photographed @tattoodjay. A beautiful photo! Much love & peace must be there :).

Regards, @DoWithLove

Thanks kindly its such an eye-catching Church and unlike many in NYC this one has space for shots and isn't pressed in by the tall high rises

How do you like the Mark 3? I just bought myself a A7sii, mostly because the low light comparisons for video tended to favour the mark ii over the iii. I don't do a lot of stills so that was more important for me. But what do you think?

And, nice photo of course! I think I would've liked a little more contrast in the darks/lights and maybe even a vigniette to help highlight the church a bit more - currently it's getting lost in the busy-ness of its surroundings. But the contrast between architecture is really interesting in of itself, so good choice of subject!

Yes I saw you got the A7sii its low noise capabilities make it great for video from what I have read as I am mostly stills and a lot of landscape I was tossing up between the A7Rii or the A7ii but when the A7iii came out with that features at a great price and I just happened to have enough put aside for it I had to get it and loving it so far for what I did its more than enough, I would say Best Camera I have owned

Thanks I really appreciate your constructive feedback and looking at it again I totally agree with all your thoughts I often do add a vignette and surprised i didnt with this one I wonder why Maybe I was rushing at the time

Thanks again

Great shot. First when I looked at the picture I didn't even see the church, so I'm glad you mentioned it in you title.

@joalvarez Thanks for the feedback, Maybe its not a great entry for the contest then

The Amazing thing is that Saint Barts is actually a pretty big church, but looking at the photo, it is literally dwarfed by the skyscrapers.

A killer shot, JJ. You have such a great guy and a sense of knowing what will work and what won't. Thank you for showing off and sharing New York City with us. I love New York. I'd say it twice, just for effect, but you already know that I love it.

@dswigle Ohh yes I know you love it, and this church is so cool and actually has some space unlike many other churches,

as you know I have a love / hate relationship with the city I love it for photos but I am a country boy at heart

Your pictures make me want to visit New York! That says a lot since I hate crowds. lol

@debralee Thanks and funnily enough I hate crowds and big cities as well, but it does have so much to see I make the most of it since I work there :)

That's a different kind of black and white... Interesting - a light tone in shades of grey/blue-green... :)

@ackhoo Thanks I never do standard B&Ws lol

This church is perfectly shot in black and white. I love how it turned out!

@papacrusher Thanks kindly I am happy how this came out

I love this photograph @tattoodjay.

It's a beautiful Church but the composition of the image, capturing it against all the modern buildings makes it really jump out at you.

Great shot!

Definitely a winner in my book. 😊

@gillianpearce Thanks so kind of you to say I must say I am quite happy about this shot

Almost looks like the church is sketched into the scence.

I think because the old style architecture stands out and contrasts with new.

@nananini Thanks I do love the contrasts in this it is so cool

Wow! You know, I do not like being in or living in the city. At all.
These photos you share though, they make me almost want to reconsider.
Really beautiful stuff! ♥

@squishysquid I can relate to that when I retire I could well never visit the city again
