It makes no sense for me to post original thoughts on BITCOINTALK any longer...
I was about to "get into it" on Bitcointalk but had to stop myself... why post on there, trying to convincing Steemit naysayers of the merits of the platform, when I could be post here, helping newcomers to understand the platform and crypto-currencies generally. IF there is a message that I feel really needs sharing on that platform... I'll just post a link from here.
Here is what would have been my last post on Bitcointalk...
People complaining about Steemit being "80% pre-mined" by founders are missing the point
Steemit is gaining traction with the masses. The majority of people (for better or worse) are used to corporations and shareholders owning social media sites and them having zero equity, so pre-mined arguments are going to have little bearing on user adoption.
Most people outside the Crypto-community will have little consideration for what equity is owned by independent miners... remember blogging is the new mining. So whether 80% is owned by the founders or miners (who didn't earn it by blogging) makes no difference. It's still equity that isn't in the hands of creative people.
The Devs (who create and develop the platform) vs the Miners (who secure the network) is an un-interesting sideshow.
The BIG DEAL is, anyone can earn money and equity for blogging and curating. Something they cannot do on Facebook or Reddit or wherever. They get paid for their ideas and creativity without needing to throw a single CPU or GPU at the network...
In fact, why am I wasting my time posting this on Bitcointalk???... I could be posting this on Steemit and potentially earning some $$$ for my efforts... ;)*
LOL. The sheer amount of fundamentalism in the Bitcoin maximalist crowds is staggering. I'm just glad Satoshi didn't advocate martyrdom in the white paper.
This baby dolphin appreciates your post. UPVOTED!

Satoshi must be rolling in his grave now considering what r/bitcoin and blockstream have done to the currency.
I somehow wish he never left and would've taken more control, but then again I guess he didn't really care too much how bitcoin will do, as long as it opens way for the technology in a broader effect, whether it is bitcoin or some other currency that takes over in the future, his work is done.

Bitcointalk has always been a negative place. The traditional paranoia about pre-mines. The hostility to alts. And those who got into the blocksize debate found it extremely toxic. It's actually nice that the cryptocoin world has somewhere else to congregate.

From the money POV it's easier to get some cryptos for a post @BitcoinTalk than @Steemit - as long as there are the signature campaigns :-)
So, don't say "Good Buy!",
Better -"See you!" :-)

I think you'll be far better off posting here on Steemit now! Keep it up.

The endless trolls/drama got to me after a while, I barely go on there anymore... it will be interesting to see how it plays out in here

I finally signed off for the last time after visiting the Lisk thread. The memes about what fancy new car the ICO buyers were going to drive and comparisons of different devs to action heros was just too much negativity for me. I often wonder if the internet helped make people mean or did it just make it easier to express what we always felt. Who knows but I like your story and writing :) Keep it up

Also here btctalk think that forum is crowded by people who look to cheat or people who wants to be billionaires with no work at all. 1% of users understand to be rich you need to work hard hard hard 25 hours out of 24. :)
