Bystander effect is the ignorance of a person who is in need of help in a crowded environment. It was first discovered in 1968 by John Darley and Bibb Latané. Catherine Susan Genovese, a 28-year-old woman who had been stabbed repeatedly by a pervert in a street where 38 people were in New York in 1964, was the first known victim of this activity.
How could you say that. This is really happening and almost everyday. Also in this case the audience is called apatiside. In a place where there is a lot of others, maybe someone else can see and help someone else. It is a funny tragedy that nobody helps anyone, thinking that someone else will help.
This is because there are many people in the environment because all people think that someone will help. Nobody cares and does not react because individual responsibility falls.
Oh, my God!!!!! He was asking for help, not just being there unconscious!!!! Heartless world... But it can be changed, I believe!
