I am running a service to convert Byteball to STEEM!

Hello Steemians! I think many of you would have heard and probably received your free Byteball airdrop. For those who do not know, Byteball is a cryptocurrency with the aim of increasing user adoption as much as possible. And the team is trying to achieve mass adoption by sending Byteballs to as many people as possible and getting them to download their wallet. They had previously airdropped to BTC holders and now they are airdropping to Steemians!

For those who have received their airdrops, you might be wondering what can you do with it. There is paper value, but you may not have the means to spend it or cash it out. Fret not, I am offering a service to help you convert your Byteballs to STEEM! If you are keen, do read on...

Steps to claim your Byteballs

While this post is not meant to teach you how to claim your Byteballs (there are many other tutorials on Steem which you can find), do allow me to give you some brief steps to illustrate how easy it is. This is also for the benefits of those who have not claimed their Byteballs.

Step 1: Download and install the wallet

1. Follow this link (https://steem-byteball.org/#Y2WJYAFW2SEIHZW4EOIGGQCMV2FYI6WA) to the wallet download page. If you follow this link to download the wallet, I will get to earn some referral fees 😉

2. Click on one of the links that I boxed in red.
   

3. Choose the appropriate wallet to install depending on which device you are on.

Step 2: Talk to the Steem Attestation Bot

Side note: Previously, in order to perform the attestation, you will need to pay a small fee of 50,000 bytes. Since 21 Jul, they have removed this requirement and they now only allow accounts that were registered on Steem prior to 12 Jul to collect the airdrop. This is to combat people who abused the system by creating new accounts just for the airdrops.

1. Open your wallet and go through the initial setup process.

2. Click on "Chat" -> "Bot Store" -> "Steem attestation bot". Add the bot and start chatting with it.
   

   

3. Follow the steps provided by the bot. You will be asked to send in your Byteball wallet address and connect your Steem account via SteemConnect.

4. Once connected, the bot will ask if your attestation record should be kept private or public. If you want to use my service to convert Byteball to STEEM, please choose public!
   

   

5. Next, you have to sign a message with your Steem username using the wallet.
   

   

6. Sign the message and send the signed message to the bot. And you will get your Bytes!
   

   
   

(Optional) Step 3: Cashing out

You should have received your Bytes in a minute. The amount of airdrop you get is based on your Steem reputation (now you understand how important it is to have a good reputation 😂). Below is the airdrop you are expected to get (note that half of the airdrop will be locked for 1 year):

• Reputation 30 or above: $5.00 reward
• Reputation 40 or above: $10.00 reward
• Reputation 50 or above: $40.00 reward
• Reputation 60 or above: $80.00 reward
• Reputation 70 or above: $160.00 reward

You can cash out your Bytes at the following exchanges into BTC. With BTC, you can then convert them to fiat or STEEM.

Introducing @culgin's Byteball to STEEM conversion service!

If you are not a cryptocurrency trader, you probably know nothing about the 3 crypto exchanges listed above. How are you going to use your Byteball then? You can either wait till Byteball achieve mass adoption so that you can spend your Byteball somewhere. Or you can make use of my service to convert your Byteball to STEEM (with a small fee of course).

Below are the steps:

1. Join my Steem-Oracle Discord server using this link (https://discord.gg/YJG6j7p)

2. Navigate to the "byteball-to-steem" channel
   

   

3. Copy the attestation link into the "byteball-to-steem" channel. The link can be found in the message from the bot which says you have been successfully attested. The link contains the attestation record which allows me to verify your identity.. 4. Once that is done, I will privately message each of you with the Byteball to STEEM exchange rate. It will be based on numbers shown on CoinMarketCap at that point in time. If you are happy with the rates, I will provide you my Byteball wallet address for you to transfer Bytes into. Based on the Bytes received, I will send you STEEM after deducting fees. Fees will be 0.2 STEEM or 3% of total, whichever is higher.

Why are there fees?

There are a few reasons why there are fees.

1. There are fees involved for me to transfer Byteballs to Bittrex. After that, there are trading fees when converting Bytes to BTC and BTC to STEEM. Finally, there are also fees to withdraw STEEM from Bittrex.
2. There is effort involved for me to manually track and verify everyone of you.
3. There is risk involved in holding onto your Bytes as STEEM may rise against Bytes.

Why am I doing this?

I understand many of you have difficulties cashing out your Bytes and I thought I can help. In addition, I also hope that these money from the airdrop can flow back as STEEM, thereby pushing the price up a little.
