The Commodore 64, also known as the C64 was an 8-bit home computer introduced in January 1982 by Commodore International. The C64 dominated the low-end computer market for most of the 1980s. Part of the Commodore 64 success was because it was sold in retail stores instead of electronics stores, and that these machines can be directly plugged into an existing home television without any modifications. Another part of the Commodore 64 success was because approximately 10'000 commercial software titles were made for the Commodore 64 including development tools, office applications, and of course games.
The Commodore 64 was the second computer I ever owned, and it still holds a very special place in my heart. It's due partly to the great music found within some of the games. Some of the game musicians of that era were sonic wizards, managing not only to come up with fresh compositions, but also making their creations work within 3 channels of sound.
Here are 640 minutes of our most favorite SID tunes from our youth. Painstakingly selected and lovingly arranged into hour-long sectors, these are the legendary melodies that have burned themselves deep into our brains. The Epic Commodore C64 SID Collection aims to be a delight for the veteran C64 freak as well as today's millennial who loves chiptunes but has never even seen an 8-bit computer.

I used to code lots and lots of music in the late 80´s and I just cannot believe the tunes I made are still so popular!
I did supply tons of music and sound effects to games on those times. I crosscompiled the code to other platforms as well..
Truly amazing!!
