Here's my first cake recipe/ Hier ist mein erstes Rezept
You need:/ Ihr braucht:
300 ml vegetable oil/ 300 ml Sonnenblumenöl
400 g plain flour/ 400 g Mehl
130 g cocoa powder/ 130 g Kakaopulver
4 tsp baking powder/ 4 TL Backpulver
560 g light brown sugar/ 560 g braunen Zucker
400 ml buttermilk/ 400 ml Buttermilch
200 ml strong coffee/ 200 ml starken Kaffee
4 tsp vanilla extract/ 4 TL Vanilleextrakt
4 large eggs/ 4 große Eier
Heat oven to 180C/ 160C fan/gas / Ofen auf 180 grad Ober- und Unterhitze vorheizen
Bake for 25-30 min / 25-30 min backen
Cut the cake in 3 pieces/ Kuchen in 3 Scheiben schneiden
Put some cherryjuice on the pieces/ etwas Kirschsaft auf die Scheiben träufeln
Now some chocolate ganache (200ml chocolate and 200ml whipped creme) and cherrys/ Nun mit Schokoladenganache ( 200mlSchokolade und 200ml Schlagsahne) bestreichen und Kirschen platzieren
Put the ganache all over the cake/ Kuchen komplett mit der Ganache bestreichen
Now decorate it with fondant/ mit Fondant beziehen und dekorieren

That looks fantastic! Of course, my favorite cake of all time is German Chocolate Cake (the one with coconut and things) but I'm sure it's not as easy to make one of those as pretty as this. With writing on it and all. Very nice way to "arrive" at steemit! Welcome aboard the steem train, @Minka!
