Rally and discussion held on Chuadanga-Meherpur including World Water Day
Staff Reporter: World Water Day is celebrated across the country including Chuadanga and Meherpur including slogans for 'Water for Nature'. Rally and discussion were organized on the occasion of the day. District President Ziauddin Ahmed said in the conference organized at Chuadanga, "If there is a third world war then it will be for water." To safe water, the water resources of Bangladesh must be protected. Regular use of water and water wastage should be prevented. Everyone has to be aware of this in this regard. Everyone is trying to reconcile the natural balance. Do not use soil tops. Do not use sand below the soil. 80 percent cut off the soil. Need soil for development. 26 kilometer of Chitra river will be cut. The scheme was made. The soil is not cut because the distance is too high. The soil is being cut from the place shown by the administration, after which the river has its river. Two ponds have been cut for free government accommodation. Then the meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's Office. Chowdhanga Water Development Board Executive Engineer Jahidul Islam presided over the discussion while Deputy Commissioner Ziauddin Ahmed spoke as the chief guest. Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Tariqul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abdur Razzak and Civil Surgeon Dr. Khairul Alam was present. Meherpur office said, World Water Day was celebrated jointly by the District Administration and Water Development Board in Meherpur. A rally was started in the city on this occasion. Starting from Meherpur District Shilpakala Academy premises on Tuesday morning, the rally ended at the office of the Deputy Commissioner's office. Meherpur Deputy Director Khairul Hassan led the panel Mayor Shahinur Rahman Riton, executive director of Palashipara Social Welfare Association Mosharraf Hossain and Water Development Board
