SO THEY WERE OFFENDED AT HIM. But Jesus said to them, “A PROPHET IS NOT WITHOUT HONOUR EXCEPT IN HIS OWN COUNTRY AND IN HIS OWN HOUSE.”

“Do not trust in a friend; Do not put your confidence in a companion; Guard the doors of your mouth From her who lies in your bosom.
For son dishonors father, Daughter rises against her mother, Daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; A MAN'S ENEMIES ARE THE MEN OF HIS OWN HOUSEHOLD.
7.Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.”

• The Would-be Minister

If you know you have a call of GOD on your life and it seems your parents are sentimental about it, they would not want you to do God's will, I will advice you to be resolute about following God's will
If you dance to the tune of your parents, and deny God, you will pay dearly for it.
We will stand one by one before God to GIVE account of our stewardship on Earth, not family by family: "So then each of us shall give account of himself [herself] to God" (Romans 14:12).
At the judgement seat of Christ where every believer in Christ will receive rewards (2 Corinthians 5:10).
EACH person's [believer's] WORK in the world would be reviewed and judged as good or bad.
APOSTLE Paul in 1 Corinthians 3:10-14 compared the building of Christ's body TO that of a house, and the material with which one builds could be likened to gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, and straw [stubbles].

“According to the grace of God which was given to me, AS A WISE MASTER BUILDER I HAVE LAID THE FOUNDATION, AND ANOTHER BUILDS ON IT. BUT LET EACH ONE TAKE HEED HOW HE BUILDS ON IT.
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
NOW IF ANYONE BUILDS ON THIS FOUNDATION WITH GOLD, SILVER, PRECIOUS STONES, WOOD, HAY, STRAW,
each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; AND THE FIRE WILL TEST EACH ONE'S WORK, OF WHAT SORT IT IS.
IF ANYONE'S WORK WHICH HE HAS BUILT ON IT ENDURES, HE WILL RECEIVE A REWARD.
If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”
1 Corinthians 3:10-15 (NKJV)

SOME are not doing anything to build God's kingdom on earth.
SOME are doing the work with iniquities in their lives (Isaiah 42:11; 2 Timothy 2:19).
SOME are not faithful in carrying on the assignment.

Believers will be judged for all neglected opportunities, wasted talents and gifts, loose living, AND LACK of spirituality.
There would be open and impartial display of justice.
The faithful would be rewarded (2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Peter 5:2-4; Revelation 3:11; 22:12).

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, THAT EACH ONE MAY RECEIVE THE THINGS DONE IN THE BODY, ACCORDING TO WHAT HE HAS DONE, whether good or bad.”
2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV)

• Ministers

Focus on your assignment.
Ignore those who despised the call of God on your life.
Do not try to please any person but God.
Make yourself scarce.
Wisdom demands you do not attend every party or social gathering in your family or In-laws' family (Luke 9:59-62).

“NO ONE ENGAGED IN WARFARE ENTANGLES HIMSELF WITH THE AFFAIRS OF THIS LIFE, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.”
2 Timothy 2:4 (NKJV)

If you stay around those who speak against the call-of-God on your life, you will lose your enthusiasm for the work.
YOU will soon be discouraged and abandoned the assignment.
If you focus on the assignment and keep away from them, when the glory of the work emerges, they will come to celebrate you.
Your results in the years to come will cause them to change their minds and bow before you (Acts 28:3-6).
JOSEPH'S brothers later bowed to him when his dream came to fulfilment (Genesis 42:6).
THEY fought the dream, sold him into slavery, for the dream not to materialize, but they could not stop God's plan (Genesis 37:23-28).
If you can be committed to your God-given vision, assignment, those who mocked you will later come to celebrate you and leak the dust on your feet.

"And say to Archippus, "TAKE HEED TO THE MINISTRY WHICH YOU HAVE RECEIVED IN THE LORD, THAT YOU MAY FULFIL IT."

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
