Calling Them Out Part 2steemCreated with Sketch.

in callingthemout •  8 years ago  (edited)

It’s been a few months since I last wrote. It’s not easy to call people out because I like these authors posts so much. The nature of this post is to encourage authors that receive big rewards to participate in the community more.

Since my last post I am happy to say @saramiller has started voting on a regular basis. I have no idea why, maybe she saw my last post but I don’t think that’s what did it. She started voting soon after Steemfest so I am happy she had a great experience and is now really involved in making Steemit a better place. Maybe someone introduced to her a bot or another voting service which is making all the difference.

Thank You Sara for giving back to the community that loves your posts so much.

Today I will call out @susanne

We all love her posts. Or at least enough of us so she earns better rewards than most people. She deserves every penny. Susanne writes great articles that without a doubt help influence people’s lives and decisions in a positive manner. I often vote for Susanne because I find her articles useful and interesting. I will continue to vote for her posts that I like because I believe they are good for the Steemit platform.

However Susanne your greed and lack of community involvement makes you a TAKER.
Yes, you come here write an amazing post linger for a while and then disappear until your next post.

Why do I care and how your lack of contribution is not helping the platform you ask?

Here it is. Calling You Out.
You have over 10,000 Steempower which means each of your votes can influence the success of whoever you vote for. A vote from you will make the receiver incredibly happy. You are a powerful user and I doubt you knew that. There are at least 80,000 accounts on Steemit that would love to have your voting power and you WASTE it by not being involved.

I have been watching your account since you joined because I like your posts. You almost never seek out other authors. You hardly comment on anything other than your own posts. You do occasionally comment on other posts but it’s far from enough, you mostly reply to what people comment on your posts.

You have no problem cashing out your hard earned steem. That is your right and I support it fully. You earned it, do what you like with it. My problem is you're not voting which is making it very difficult for other authors to share in your experience of cashing out. The community has given you so much. All you have to do is vote to give back.

Did you know that? Just voting 20 times per day will cost you absolutely nothing. You will still receive big rewards for your amazing writing that you can cash out bigger paydays.

BUT get this. Your votes will help others to become better writers and help the community grow. As the community grows that 181 Steem ($25us) you cashed out that bought you nice lunch or dinner potentially could have bought you a nice new outfit or upgrade your tech stuff.

Imagine your impact. Wow. You can make the difference in people’s lives here without costing yourself a penny.

When you vote you make money. YES YOU MAKE MONEY WHEN YOU VOTE.

Since you obviously want the cash wouldn’t it be awesome to pocket more money with little to no effort??

I know life gets busy. It really isn’t easy to read 20 articles per day if you’re working full time and enjoying life offline. I need to check out 50 articles before find 20 worth voting on. I end up voting more often.

That’s fine you're busy and don’t know what to vote for. There are free services (or really cheap and can pay with Steem) that will vote for you. Some will decide the vote and others will let you choose specific authors or tags etc.. You don’t have to read everything. The service will make you money without you doing anything, once you're set up. Thousands of users are doing this to increase their profits so they cash out more money. Awesome right?

To let 'a community' guide your vote you can check out @better they use people's collective voting power to help new comers and low yielding articles earn more rewards which helps Steemit user retention which make it more popular which will help the value go up. You will make money doing this promise, everyone will
.
You see the difference this project is making for everyone involved. It may seem like a little but it means the world to some authors.

OR If you want to vote for particular authors, tags whatever, without having to check in you can check out these guys. They have one of the most popular voting services around. I'm a manual voter because I have time and I love to be involved with what people are writing so I am not sure the fees but I know it's cheap and with your voting power it will pay for itself with a huge profit margin.
www.steemvoter.com
You see how strong they are and how they make a difference with returns for both the author and the voter.

In the least you could just randomly vote at your leisure when you have time. You don't even have to read the articles, though I feel you should, at this point we need you to just vote and make things better for others.

To be honest if you were not making great rewards I wouldn’t care if you vote or comment but we like you. We really do, we want you to share your power, make others happy. It will cost you nothing but a few minutes of time per day or less if you use a service.

The community wants you to give back please.

This post was meant to encourage you not offend you. Please don’t be offended. I think you just don’t fully understand how Steemit works due to your lack of participation. Now you know a little more hopefully you can make some changes in your voting habits which will make you more money and build a stronger community.

Like I said when an author gets a vote from you, yes you in particular, they will be more successful and their success is literally your success.

Keep bringing us great content irregardless of your voting habits. Voting and more comments will get you more followers and your post will make more money. Business right?

Thank you.
I appreciate the support.

We all need it.

Hi @jackhammers. I am not offended by your post and I appreciate your honesty. I really take this seriously and as a wake up call.

On the other hand, I do understand how Steemit works, and I can blame the jet lag, the fact that I've been sick and that I'm in the middle of setting up my own company, but there is really no excuse. And I totally understand how it can come of as greedy, as you mentioned.

I have been slacking on upvoting, commenting and also on my own posts lately. I will improve that! For sure.

But I have tried to contribute to the Steemit society by marketing it on social media, get more members involved and making my monthly "Two to follow"-posts where I recoomend following other members.

This is for sure a wake up call, and I appreciate it. Thank you for taking your time for write this.

Susanne
