Cryptocurrency, popularly known as "digital currency" has been the holy grail of technology, blockchain technology to be precise right from the inception of the first ever digital currency "Bitcoin" in 2009.
Bitcoin paved the way for other digital currencies, now we have lots of different digital currencies with massive global adoption currently taking place; more people keep getting initiated into cryptocurrency which is a big help to its global adoption.
Apart from Bitcoin, the second most invested digital currency is the Ethereum; the Ethereum is a decentralised blockchain technology platform that uses and runs a smart contract.
A smart contract is a computer protocol intended to digitally facilitate, verify, or enforce the negotiation or performance of a contract. Smart contracts allow the performance of credible transactions without third parties; These transactions are trackable and irreversible. A blockchain-based smart contract is visible to all users of said blockchain. However, this leads to a situation where bugs, including security holes, are visible to all yet may not be quickly fixed and this poses a really big problem to blockchain technology and the solution to this problem could be summarized with just one word "Callisto-network".
Callisto-network is a project on the ethereum blockchain platform with its own cryptocurrency (CLO) that aims at improving the smart contracts used within the ethereum blockchain and ultimately improving the security of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Callisto-network (CLO) aims at solving the security problems associated with cryptocurrency among several other problems; callisto network would develop a decentralised blockchain ecosystem and create a smart contract auditing department to address the issues with smart contracts used on the ethereum platform. Callisto network would achieve all these by creating a secure environment suitable for development processes.
In the past, most developers overlook and avoid auditing of their smart contracts before launch because of the costs associated with the audit processes but one of the perks of Callisto-network is a free-for-all auditing system, now developers have no excuse for neglecting the audit of their smart contracts before launching. Most times, auditing takes up a whole lot of time but the time it takes is worthwhile, if it eliminates the possibility of millions of dollars being lost in the long run; after audit, the auditing team would be paid with CLO. Auditing entails the review of existing smart contract codes to identify the area developments ought to be done after which reports are being sent by auditors.
