Kampot has become one of the target destination both locals and international visitors. From its charming beautiful little town, beautiful mountains, caves, seaside, plantations, and many interesting activities you can do during your visit.
Traditionally, if you go to Kampot, then you would just buy the ticket one way and then when you will come back, you will buy another ticket. Wherever you want to visit in Kampot, you will have to pay extra on service of either Tuk Tuk, buying package tour, or renting a motorbike.
Kampot is my favorite town I always want to visit when I feel stressed from working in the city. I love exploring and getting to see new place. Let me share with you the fact of expenses over just the transportation of the trip.
First, I bought a bus ticket one way that costed me $6, then, I paid for the Tuk Tuk to get to the guesthouse, it costed me another $1.5. To go to bokor mountain for a day trip, it costed me $12 with including lunch. To explore Kampot furthermore like going to the secret lake, pepper plantation, and the cave, Kep beach, then I have decided to rent a motorbike, and it cost me $5, and $2 for the gasoline. When I want to do more exercise and explore more the beauty of Kampot river, I would rent a bike which costed me another $1.5 to the Teuk Chhou waterfall.
After my visit, I would have to pay another $1.5 for tuk tuk to take me back to bus station, and then I paid another $6 on the bus ticket.
So, for only the transportation, I already spent between $35 to $40, but if I could somehow reduce on transportation, then it would make me spend less over my trip.
The new style of traveling service allow you to just pay one package for the transportation, and the van will take you to visit the cave, Kep beach (staying one night in kep), Bokor mountain, Teuk Chhou waterfall, and Kampot town. This service is just only $22 per person.
